Nnewi South Local Government Election: Hon Van George Ezeogidi (Ijele Utuh) Emerged the Mayor-elect of Nnewi South Local Government.

The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), for the September 28, 2024 local government election in Nnewi South, Hon Van George Ezeogidi (Ijele Utuh) has been declared winner and returned elected as the Mayor of Nnewi South local government.

Alongside his running mate, Hon. Mrs Nneka Ireka, Ijele Utuh secured a resounding victory, polling a total votes of twenty three thousand, two hundred and ninety-one votes (23,291) out of the twenty six thousand two hundred and eight (26,208) accredited votes.

He defeated the YPP candidate who polled a total of two thousand two hundred and forty four (2,244) votes.

Ijele Utuh’s victory has continued to solidify his reputation as a leader with
widespread grassroot support and love.
