Nigeria Youth World Council Concludes Historic Train Event Project, Set to Resume Nationwide Operations in May 2026
The Nigeria Youth World Council (NYWC) has officially concluded its groundbreaking project that began in August last year and culminated in a historic multi-event experience on February 14, 2026.
The initiative delivered the first-ever multi-event showcase on a moving train, including Nigeria’s first fashion runway exhibition on a moving train, traveling from Lagos to Ibadan and returning to Lagos. The event marked a significant moment of creativity, youth engagement, and innovation within Nigeria’s entertainment and youth development space.
However, the journey was not without challenges. The project encountered several logistical and operational setbacks which required the council to enter into various strategic partnerships in order to protect and sustain the massive investments already committed to the initiative. Among the partners who played key roles in the success of the event were O Jeez Entertainment, alongside several respected figures from Nollywood and legendary Nigerian entertainment personalities who lent their support and participation.
Originally scheduled for December 13, the event experienced unavoidable adjustments and was eventually rescheduled to February 14, 2026, where it was successfully executed.
Reflecting on the journey, the leadership of the Nigeria Youth World Council acknowledged that the project exposed several internal lapses and operational weaknesses within the organization’s board and team structure. While the process was challenging, the council emphasized that the experience ultimately served as a valuable learning phase that has strengthened the organization.
Following internal reviews, settlements, and logistical restructuring, the Nigeria Youth World Council confirms that it is now repositioning its structure and operations for greater efficiency and impact.
